Shooting has concluded on Frank DanCoolo: Paranormal Drug Dealer. We finished a day ahead of schedule and got an epic amount of material.
The final three days of shooting were also the titular character's only three days. Our DanCoolo, John Charles Meyer, gave a great performance and really delivered on a role that could have easily been overshadowed by Priscilla McEver's powerhouse turn as Holly Malone.
I lucked out with those two. Now the pressure is on to create something worthy of their efforts, which, when all is said and done, is an enviable predicament to be in.
James and Robert Dastoli have already been hard at work on hammering out the final look of the film for me and we're one major jigsaw piece away from starting the main thrust of post production.
So, POST PRODUCTION UPDATE:
Dillon Markey and his team have agreed to handle the stop motion animation in addition to building the creature puppet.
I am waiting for new finagled edit software before commencing a fine cut of the film.
The "Beyond World" processing is causing headaches for everyone, as my initial direction was vague and the technical implication unclear.
Various bits and bobs have already been COMPLETED, including the opening sequence, but everything will take days and days to render, so nobody knows exactly what they look like yet.
